Terms of Service

Last updated October 17, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and gpt4idiot technologies, a sole proprietorship based in Vancouver, British Columbia (“we”, “us”), which runs Candid at heyjess.org. By using Candid or subscribing, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, don’t use Candid. Questions: everettkane68@gmail.com, 3939 West 38th Avenue, Vancouver, BC, Canada.

1. Who can use Candid

You must be at least 18, and old enough to make a binding contract where you live. Candid isn’t for anyone under 18, and we close accounts we believe belong to a minor.

2. What Candid is

Candid is an AI coach. Cee, the character you talk to, gives ratings, odds, verdicts and plans that an AI system writes from your photo and answers. They are opinions, for entertainment and self-improvement. They are not facts, not a measurement of your worth, and not a prediction of what any real person will think of you or do. AI makes mistakes, and Cee can be wrong, out of date or blunt.

3. Not medical, mental health or professional advice

Anything about weight, diet, exercise, skin, hair, health, money, work or relationships is general information, not advice for your situation. Talk to a doctor before you change how you eat, train or treat your skin, and to a qualified professional for anything else that matters. We don’t promise any result: we can’t promise you’ll look, feel or do better by following a plan.

If you’re thinking about hurting yourself, contact local emergency services now. In the US you can call or text 988. In Canada you can call or text 9-8-8.

4. Your account

You can use some of Candid without an account. To pay and keep your plan across devices you sign in with Google. Keep your account link and Google account secure, and tell us if you think someone else is using them. You’re responsible for what happens under your account.

5. Subscription, billing and auto-renewal

Price and renewal. The full plan is a subscription that costs the price shown before you pay (currently $5 USD per week, plus any applicable tax). You’re charged when you subscribe, and then automatically every week until you cancel. By subscribing you authorize us, through our payment processor Stripe, to charge your payment method each week.

How to cancel. Cancel anytime, online, in a few taps: open the app at heyjess.org/app and choose “Manage subscription”, or email everettkane68@gmail.com and we’ll cancel it for you. Cancelling stops all future charges. You keep access until the end of the week you’ve already paid for.

Refunds. Payments aren’t refundable for partly used weeks, except where this section or the law says otherwise. If you were charged by mistake, charged after you cancelled, or something didn’t work, email us within 30 days and we’ll make it right. Nothing here limits any right to cancel or get a refund that consumer law where you live gives you.

Price changes. If the price changes, we’ll tell you by email at least 7 days (and at least 30 days for Quebec residents) before the change applies to you, along with how to cancel. If you don’t cancel, the new price applies from your next renewal.

Failed payments. If a payment fails, Stripe may retry it. We may pause your plan until the payment goes through.

Receipts. Stripe emails you a receipt for each charge, and you can see your billing history and cancel through the “Manage subscription” page.

6. Your photos and what you send

Only send photos of yourself that you have the right to share. Don’t send photos of anyone else, nudity, or anyone under 18. Photos are checked by an automated safety filter and refused if they break these rules.

You own what you send us. You give us permission to use it to run Candid for you: to generate Cee’s answers, keep your plan and progress, prevent abuse, and improve Candid. Our Privacy Policy explains what we keep. We don’t store your photos.

7. Rules

Don’t use Candid to:

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules. If we close a paid account for a reason other than a breach of these terms, we’ll refund the unused part of the week.

8. Our content

Candid, Cee, the design and the software belong to us. You may use Cee’s answers and your share card for your own personal, non-commercial purposes, including posting them.

9. Changes to Candid and these terms

We may change or stop features. If we stop offering the paid plan, we’ll refund the unused part of your week. We may update these terms. If a change matters, we’ll tell you on the site or by email before it applies, and subscribers can cancel before it takes effect. Continuing to use Candid after that means you accept the new terms.

10. Disclaimers

To the extent the law allows, Candid is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy. We don’t promise that Candid will be uninterrupted or error-free. You decide what to do with Cee’s answers, and you’re responsible for those decisions.

11. Limit on liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim about Candid is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 3 months before the claim and $50 USD.

Some places, including some US states and Canadian provinces such as Quebec, don’t allow some of these exclusions or limits. Where that’s the case, they don’t apply to you, and nothing in these terms limits liability for our own fraud, gross negligence or intentional misconduct, or any right the law says can’t be waived.

12. Disputes

Email us first. Most problems are fixed quickly. These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the applicable laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you’re a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws where you live, and you can bring a claim in the courts there, including small claims court.

13. General

These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about Candid. If a part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don’t enforce something right away, we haven’t given up the right to enforce it. You can’t transfer these terms to someone else. We can transfer them to whoever takes over Candid, and your rights stay the same. You agree we can send you notices, receipts and terms by email or on the site.
